Cystic Fibrosis Queensland
In December 2008 my family welcomed my son Finn into the world after a text book pregnancy only to discover on day 3 that he had Cystic Fibrosis and required emergency surgery to remove a blockage in his digestive system.
To plunge from the emotional highs of the arrival of our seemingly happy and healthy baby boy to the stress and worry of him going under the knife only 3 days old, was absolutely the most difficult experience my wife & I have ever shared.
To meet Finn you wouldn’t ever guess he had such a serious condition. He’s always smiling, he eats like a horse and likes nothing more than playing with our dog Tilly or pulling his sister’s hair. He’s just delightful.
We often reflect how lucky we are that Finn got CF (if he was going to get anything) as the support we’ve received from Cystic Fibrosis Queensland has been terrific. We couldn’t put a price on the difference they have made to our ability to adjust, so in return we do what we can to raise funds in appreciation for the effort they go to. The limited support they receive from the Government has just been drastically reduced, so donations are especially important to them.
I personally donate a portion of the commissions I earn from every sale, to Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.
